I found the original Electric Company shows far more entertaining once I was in college and beyond; I didn't need the help learning to read when I was in 3rd grade... but once I had absorbed more of early and mid 20th century pop culture, I came to appreciate what TEC was beyond the "reading" aspect: it was perhaps the finest pop-culture satire of the era.
