I understand objecting to the threats, but I think people are genuinely concerned that their information is going to be shared without their permission--something Facebook is already very good at--and even well-meaning people may not realize that they could be sharing their friends' information. I (obviously) don't really have a problem with people being up-front about not wanting their information shared, and as the commenter below noted, I think accidental cross-posting is a concern.
