Am I the only person who thinks the Lisa Nowak thing is just really, really sad? I mean, the woman is either unhinged or throwing away a brilliant career for a guy.

Either way, it makes me queasy.

One of my favorite writers on another one of my favorite writers

I haven't had a chance to write about it, but yeah, I noticed that we lost a dear girl last week, Molly Ivins. I didn't know her personally, but I shall miss her terribly.

Coincidentally, I also happen to adore E. J. Dionne, and his tribute column to her was spot on. I love the term that Dionne coined for her: Joyful Outrage. It fits. Beautifully, hysterically.

So long, Molly. We'll keep an eye on the Lege for you.
