National poetry month will continue! Eventually! (And,
noncalorsedumor , don't think I didn't notice the Milton/Vogon poetry gauntlet thrown down.) There will be Dryden, and Ovid, and Anglo-Saxon riddles, and yes, more Milton.
I've just had a sore throat for about 10 days (yes, I've seen a doctor; no, they can't really do anything about it but prescribe a lidocaine gargle), and, to borrow a Star Trek/science fiction metaphor, when the core is providing energy to both the main ship AND a rapidly expanding shuttle, one little glitch is all it takes for Geordi/Scotty/the hapless Dendarii engineer of the week (if Miles ever had a regular engineer, his/her/its name has been stolen along with about half of the other nouns in my vocabulary) to shut the whole damn thing down so that the main ship can have a nap. Or twelve.
