Would someone, for the love of Dog, take Alton Brown out, strap him down, and give him a haircut?
Other than that, lots of fun. Love the Sweeney Todd take-off.
In other news, I have my laptop back. Sort of. The joys of having a husband a.) in the IT business and b.) at a facility/company big enough that there's a fair amount of machine turnover before said machines are dinosaurs. My laptop is now topless (woo woo!), and hooked up to a monitor. The battery died a couple of years ago, so it wasn't very portable, anyway. This will be a quite serviceable arrangement until we can afford a new laptop for me. The way things are going, that's going to be June 2010, and yes, I've done the math and no, I'm not kidding.
*sigh* Not to add to the general malaise on the topic, but I get really tired of having pretty modest wants and desires and having them economically thwarted on a regular basis. We rent, we don't go out, we don't buy electronic gew-gaws, we don't go on vacations. So it's pretty frustrating when we have to figure out how to afford something as relatively basic as a rug, or when we realize we can't put anything into savings. I know we're better off than a lot of people. More than a lot--looking world-wide, we're living in the lap of luxury. But, but, but...
Gotta shake it off. Here. Some good news. This guy made it to Harvard from the Trenton projects. So where did he go from there? A high school in the poorest district in Mississippi.
Edit: Okay, so the embedding isn't working. Can anyone tell me what's wrong with the following coding?
