Bleargh.

So I'm feeling antisocial and anxious and cranky and, in some ways, downright mean.

I have decided to take it out on The Girl.

No, not Herself.  This Girl.

I wonder if if Joss Whedon ever feels like this.

So, by extension, you're taking it out on us, aren't you?

Sure, everything will be going well for Holly. She'll have successfully navigated all the obstacles in her way, and triumphed.

Then a tree trunk will come out of nowhere and lodge itself in her chest.

I feel hurt already, and I haven't even met Holly yet.

Welllll... sort of. I guess. :)

And she's survived everything else I and my occasional co-author, [livejournal.com profile] the_mithril_man, have thrown at her, including a husband in a persistent vegetative state and accidentally calling down what amounts to the wrath of God[1] and getting a bunch of (relatively) innocent people killed.

As for meeting Holly, hmm. Watch this space. I will make sure you are on my "Writing" filter.

1. Technically, it wasn't the actual wrath of God per se, but it was the closest thing this dimension/plane of existence can dish up.

"relatively" I really do love that word.

I think it's safe to say that Joss ... "works some stuff out."

You think? :P :) I think (hope?) the reason the Angel comic sucks as badly (and it does, like a Hoover) as it does is because the man's actually pretty successful and happy.
