State of the Tummy

I find myself in possession of my very own axis of evil: acid stomach, nausea, and heartburn. Three days this has been going on. I have ranged from mildly nauseous to projectile vomiting. (Blessedly, I've only experienced the latter once.)

Is there some bug going around that I should know about?

Probably not, I'm guessing. Which is why I'm off to see the gastroenterologist on Tuesday. I've been having relatively minor troubles for a few years, now, but I've never been knocked on my butt like this for days at a time. Bleah.

prilosec OTC -- it's over the counter. try it; it really works wonders. give it a half-day at least to kick in. till then, hold yourself over by drinking maalox and/or sucking on two tums pretty much constantly. let me know how it goes, and i'm sorry--i truly feel your pain (hiatal hernia with gastroesophaeal reflux disease here!)
