Google has started doing public transit directions. Which is absolutely fabulous for those of us who have public transportation, but a really sucky public transit information website.

There is now a drop-down box that offers the following options: "by car" and "walking."
Once you get the directions, if Google has the mass transit info, one of your options, in the blue box marked "Also available," is Public Transit.
It's weird--they have Baltimore, but not New York City.

I managed to get absolutely pessimal train-transfer times, missing one transfer in which I watched the train doors as I got off the stairs, and waited 15 minutes for the next one.
Then I got lost.
